I immigrated from the Netherlands when I was 21.

I was born in what friends of mine described as a "fairytale city" called Nieuwpoort. 

I did not grow up with hockey but fell in love with the sport when I moved to Canada.

I am a husband and a father.

I love discovering new places by bike or on foot.

I have a degree in Landscape Technology.

I am a middle child and love teasing my younger sister.

When I was in junior high, I started my own hobby farm with chickens, sheep, a goat, and bunnies.

I love Formula 1.

My favourite dutch saying is "Wooden Shoes, Wooden Head, Wouldn't Listen."

I love the River Valley in Edmonton and love to explore the trails.

I hate being late.

I don't like to be the center of attention, but like to quietly achieve things.

I never ate sushi growing up, but now it is my favourite food.

I love meeting new people and find out if they know someone I know.
